To

staffing, and documentation prerequisites:
1. Minimum Area Requirement
- The premises must be at least 108 square feet in area.
- Ceiling height should not be less than 8’2”.
- It must be built with brick walls, plastered flooring, and a
roof made of R.C.C.
- The entrance should be distinct and not shared with any
residential passage.
2. Storage Facilities
Certain
drugs require refrigeration or controlled storage conditions. Hence, it is
mandatory to have a refrigerator and other equipment for maintaining
temperature-sensitive drugs.
3. Qualified Technical Staff
- For retail operations, A registered pharmacist (B. Pharma or
D. Pharma) from the West Bengal Pharmacy Council must be appointed.
- For wholesale operations, A competent person with at least
1–4 years of experience in drug sales and a relevant qualification must be
designated.
